An Army Ranger is on the clock in Fox’s ’24’ reboot: VIDEO

Who can replace a terrorist-hunting, leg-shooting legend like Jack Bauer? The makers of a new take on “24” think it’s a job for an Army Ranger.

Sgt. Eric Carter picks up the badass mantle for “24: Legacy,” the reboot of the real-time franchise set to debut on Fox in the prime-est of prime time: Right after the 2017 Super Bowl.

The clock starts ticking when allies of the slain leader track down the Rangers from the raid, prompting a variety of shootouts, political intrigue (the former CTU boss is married to a presidential candidate played by Jimmy Smits) and the traditional “24” split screen madness.

Designated Survivor

Despite its title, the new show is booked for only 12 episodes, Dateline.com reported. It’ll air Mondays, with the second episode debuting Feb. 6, the day after the Super Bowl.
