Five soldiers injured when helicopter makes hard landing on Fort Campbell

Five soldiers are injured after the helicopter they were in made a hard landing on Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday as the soldiers were conducting a routine training exercise, according to information released by Fort Campbell officials.

All five soldiers on board the aircraft were injured and taken to medical treatment facilities. The nature of their injuries is not releasable at this time, officials said.


Fort Campbell officials also declined to provide further information, including whether the soldiers belonged to the 101st Airborne Division, which calls Fort Campbell home, or what type of helicopter was involved in the incident.

The incident is under investigation.
